Community Outreach

Hello! We are the Community Outreach and Initiative Service Committee. The COIS committee strives to encourage serving Waco and Baylor communities passionately, genuinely, and committedly! Through these three core values, we hope to form long-lasting partnerships with local organizations and help shape well-rounded and culturally competent students. Another goal is to create a more welcoming environment for all students and promote equity, diversity, and inclusivity within the Pre-health community. The committee members are tasked with scouting new and potential partnerships offering unique opportunities that encourage the growth of BMSA’s members. COIS members also lead workshops, DEI (diversity, equity, inclusivity) events, and donation drives. Some of our partnerships include Waco Family Medicine, Baylor Scott and White at Hillcrest, World Hunger Relief Farm, Mission Waco Mission World, and more.
