About Bears Medical Student Association
Our Mission
The mission of Bears Medical Student Association (BMSA) is to build strong leaders with enhanced knowledge and understanding of medical professions. BMSA prides itself on its ability to allow members to find their passions through distinctive healthcare experiences, becoming well-rounded and exceptional contributors to healthcare. The organization is dedicated to creating an open-minded and diverse perspective of healthcare through academic and professional development workshops, shadowing, ethical discussions, research and internship opportunities, social events, medical mission trips, networking connections, and dedicated volunteering. BMSA strives to create a close-knit community that reflects the diversity of the healthcare industry and helps members develop interpersonal skills while achieving personal and professional excellence within the Baylor Pre-health community and beyond.
